Introduction
Flavoring your salt is a simple way to add some depth and pop to your dishes. This Sriracha salt takes about an hour, but most of it is inactive time in the oven where you can be off doing something else.
Ingredients
Preparation
Mix together the salt and Sriracha until evenly distributed. It should be a light red color by the time you're done.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Spread the salt onto the baking sheet, creating as thin a layer as possible.
Turn your oven on to the lowest heat possible (mine is 170 degrees F). Place the salt in the oven and every 20-30 minutes, stir the salt and spread it out again. You don't want to bake the salt, you just want to dry it out. Repeat the process for about 1 hour, maybe 1.5 hours, until your salt is dry.
Let the salt cool completely and then store in a jar or airtight container.
