Don’t let bad weather and the fact that you live in a small apartment downtown prevent you from having a nice picnic. Grab some blankets, some hotdogs, and the kids and enjoy eating food while sitting on the floor. 

We were going to take the boys (they belong to friends, not to any of us) to the Statehouse grounds to have a picnic after church, but the weather turned out less than desirable. Zach and Kara had an apartment downtown right by the church, so we conveniently walked over and did our picnic there. In the photos, you can see Zach’s plant experimentations even then in that apartment. It was kind of like being outside! 

Everyone, especially the kids, had fun regardless. When life throws you a curveball, adjust your swing and hit it anyway.
